Air France Business Class Review
Introduction
The newly-added flight from Denver to Paris on Air France provided the perfect opportunity to easily travel to the city of Paris and explore its heap of historic monuments. My dad and I used miles to fly round trip with business class on the way there and economy on the way back. The cabin was organized in a reverse-herringbone layout and we sat in two middle seats (5D + 5G). The flight time was around 8 hours and 55 mins and left around 5:20 pm from Denver and arrived around 10:20 am in Paris. The comfort, service, and amenities on this flight were top-notch and it made the overnight journey so much more enjoyable. Seats
With only four seats in each row in the cabin, the seats were pretty large and comfortable. There was tons of legroom and a large footrest area with space underneath to store a personal item or bag. When ready to sleep, the seats lay fully flat and are easy to adjust with buttons located conveniently right next to the seat. The TV was tucked neatly away for maximal space and could be pulled out with the push of a button. It had an easy-to-use remote as well. On the left side of the seat, there was a small cubby with headphones, a mirror, and extra storage with secure bungee straps. Next to the cubby, there was a small push-out light for reading. When it came to dining, there was a decent-sized pullout tray table and a middle section for placing drinks. On the aisle, a removable armrest provided comfort while eating or sleeping and could be stowed away using a button on the side of the seat. Lastly, the overhead bin space was plentiful as each passenger had their own.
Amenities
When you think of flying business class, the first things that come to mind are lay-flat seats and a handful of amenities. On this flight, the comfort amenities included a large comfortable pillow and a full-size thick blanket (almost comforter-like). For sanitary comfort, they provided a travel sanitary kit with a mask, hand sanitizer, and a disinfectant wipe. Lastly, the amenity/toiletries bags that were given out consisted of a navy blue toiletry bag with an eye mask, shoe shiner, toothbrush, pen, earplugs, socks, toothpaste, hand cream, body cream, and headphone covers. A nice pair of headphones and a large selection of movies and tv shows were also included.
Dining + Drinks
While all of the other parts of the business class experience were phenomenal, the dining was truly extraordinary and some of the best food I’ve ever had on a plane. To start, small glasses of water and orange juice were offered on the ground before takeoff. Then, after reaching cruising altitude, menus were handed out along with another drink. The options for dinner main meals on my flight were grilled tournedos, chicken supreme with chorizo, zander fillet, and tricolor tortellini pasta. The dessert was a selection of dessert miniatures and a choice between a large baguette (the best bread ever on an airplane) and an olive roll. For an express breakfast, we were served a bowl of plain yogurt, fresh fruit, and a breakfast pastry with honey and jam and a choice of tea or coffee. Overall, the delicious flavors and pristine presentation stood out when dining in business class.
